ToddlerTales was built by parents, for parents. We understand the trust you place in us when you use our service to create stories for your children, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Every feature we build, every AI model we integrate, and every story that is generated goes through safety considerations designed to protect young audiences.

AI Safety Guardrails

Our story generation system includes multiple layers of protection:

• Prompt Engineering: Our AI instructions explicitly require age-appropriate, positive, and educational content. The system is guided to avoid violence, fear, discrimination, and any subject matter unsuitable for children.
• Input Filtering: Story inputs (character names, ideas, and lesson goals) are checked for inappropriate language before they are sent to the AI model.
• Content Boundaries: The AI is constrained to generate stories within safe themes — adventure, friendship, kindness, curiosity, and learning — while avoiding topics like graphic conflict, prejudice, or adult themes.
• Age-Appropriate Vocabulary: Story complexity and vocabulary are automatically adjusted based on the target age you specify, ensuring the content is suitable for your child's developmental stage.

Content Review

While our AI guardrails are robust, we recognize that no automated system is perfect. We encourage parents to review generated stories, especially the first few, to ensure they meet your family's standards.

We continuously monitor and improve our content safety systems based on user feedback and evolving best practices in AI safety.

Report a Concern

If you encounter any content that you find inappropriate or concerning, please let us know immediately. We take every report seriously and will investigate promptly.

When reporting, please include the story title and a description of the concern. We aim to respond to all safety reports within 24 hours.

Protecting Children's Data

We collect minimal information about children. Character names and story preferences are stored only within your account and are used solely for story generation.

Child safety is not a one-time effort. We are committed to continuously improving our safety measures as AI technology evolves and as we learn from our community of parents.
